In Truth’s Absence

In the absence of truth’s gentle light,
We stumble through the darkest night,
Ignorance our unwanted guide,
On this sorrowful, desolate ride.

A veil of falsehoods draped around,
Our hearts and minds are tightly bound,
Lost in the maze of confusion,
Seeking an elusive resolution.

The pain of separation gnaws,
At our very core it saws,
A deep ache that never abates,
Fueling bitterness and hate.

Ignorance whispers sweet lies,
Shrouding eyes as they close and deny,
The truth that could set us free,
If only we dared to see.

And so the suffering persists,
In the chasm where truth misses,
An emptiness that ignorance fills,
With despair, with sorrow, with ills.

Oh, to tear down this wall of lies,
To gaze upon truth’s radiant skies,
No more pain, no more regret,
Only love, only peace, forever set.
